UPDATE: August 4, 2008
Dear Readers,
Because we requested prayer for my nephew, Bradley, in the June/July issue, we feel we should give an update, including our thanks and praise.
At this writing, he has just completed his third round of chemo at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Prior to beginning this round, he underwent a battery of tests to determine the results of the chemo. We are happy to report that he is progressing amazingly well. The physicians are encouraged, as are all of us, that the tumors are shrinking at a faster than anticipated rate. Following this round and a period of recuperation, he will be allowed to go home to Atlanta for continuing treatment and return to Houston every six weeks for an evaluation.
We are grateful to his physicians and medical team; however, we are more grateful to the One who gave them their knowledge and abilities. We are grateful to all of you, our prayer warrior friends, for continually holding him up in prayer and ask that you continue to do so. His treatment is intense and is taking its toll on the good cells as well as the bad, leaving him weak and exhausted. But we believe that the good will prevail and he will be completely healed.
His blog, www.bradleyandmarissa.blogspot.com, is updated as he is able. Comments can be posted to the blog. Notes of encouragement can be mailed to him and Marissa at 638 Nottingham Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia, 30045.
Blessings,
Grace
